Digital Camera Vocabulary

The digital camera is a new device. It has several parts and its parts have different names and functions. To help you understand the use of a digital camera I am going to mention a few definitions.

For example:
Digital camera-a camera that encodes an image digitally and store it for later reproduction.
Pixel -The smallest element of an image that can be individually processed in a video display display system.
megapixel-a unit of graphic resolution 1,048,576 or 220 pixels, the speed at which a graphics card can display data.
zoom-To bring a subject , scene , etc into close up or cause to recede into a long shot using a zoom lens .
aspect ration-the width to height ratio of a film or television image.
memory-a device or a component of a device in which information especially for a computer can be inserted and stored and from which it may be extracted when wanted.

sensors-a device such as a photo electric cell, that receives and responds to a signal or stimulus
aliasing-the appearance of jagged distortions in curves and diagonal lines in computer graphics because the resolution is limited or diminished.

Connectiviy-the quality or condition of being connected or connective.
